Welcome to Saugeen Shores Community Church .... where it's our mission is to see lives rebuilt, restored, and renovated.
In our society, connecting in meaningful ways - where differences can be made in one another's lives - is a profound challenge.
Our goal as a church is to come together as a family to see our lives rebuilt, restored, and renovated.
Our commitment is that we not do this in isolation from our community, but rather, that we would engage the community of Saugeen Shores in meaningful ways.
It's our desire to see the lives of everyone we touch with the love of Christ experience the wonder of God's rebuilding, restoring, and renovating.
As a pastoral couple, my wife Cindy, and I have had the privilege of ministering for over 27 years in Saugeen Shores.
We have come to absolutely love this community and its people on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron!

Office Manager
Cindy is tasked with a variety of administrative duties as the Office Manager. Her ministries at SSCC include: Children’s Ministry, A/V, Worship, Facility Management/Rentals and Protection Plan. On the creative side, Cindy loves video production and web design. Cindy’s heart has always been for developing not only ministries, but most importantly ~ leaders! She loves facilitating ministries ~ everyone functioning in their God-given gifting ~ to see people called and equipped to minister for the Kingdom! She and Pastor Gary's family include 2 sons and their wives .... and 5 young grandkids!
Elder
Carrie & Gord Young have been part of Saugeen Shores Community Church for many years with Carrie serving as an Elder for several years ~ giving leadership to our Prayer Ministry and Operation Christmas Child, as well as assisting in our Children's Ministry! Gord serves as the SSCC Property Manager and you'll often see him serving on the Lobby Monitoring Team on Sunday morning! Carrie and Gord have 3 adult children ...and a handful of grandchildren who keep them busy in their spare time! They aim to share the gospel and love of Jesus with those in our whole community. They believe the Holy Spirit helps people to do this best.
Elder
Alan & Beverley were born in the UK, and emigrated to Canada in 1981. They have lived in the Saugeen Shores community for over 40 years and have been attending Saugeen Shores Community Church, (formerly the Missionary Church) for almost 20 years. Both Alan and Bev have a passion for Ministry, and Bible study, and they both are integral on the SSCC Prayer Ministry Team. Alan enjoys Bible-based preaching/teaching, and as an Elder gives oversight to our Worship & Prayer evenings. Bev assists with Operation Christmas Child, and also assists periodically in our Children's Ministry. As a church with a relatively young congregation, SSCC is family-friendly ~ and consequently has vibrant nursery, children and youth ministries. It truly represents the friendly community that Alan & Bev call home! Together Alan & Bev have three children, and 3 grandchildren.
Elder
Derrick & Linda Kloosterhof have been part of Saugeen Shores Community Church since 2005, with Derrick serving as an Elder and Church Board member since 2009. Derrick is also a vital part of the Facilities Team, and gives leadership to our 'Gather Groups.' Derrick's heart is to see the moving of the Holy Spirit not only in the church body, but in Saugeen Shores! Linda serves in the SSCC Nursery, ministering to our youngest SSCC'ers! Derrick & Linda have 4 adult children and 4 fur grand-babies!
